17th Annual Tree Lighting Event

Featuring: Holiday Music, Live Performances, 2nd Annual Chili Cook-Off Competition, athletes from Rutgers University, a Visit from Santa & Mrs. Claus, Scavenger Hunt, with Special Guests: Mayor James Cahill & midday host Debbie Mazzella from Magic 98.3 will serve as emcee.

2nd Annual Chili Cook-Off Competition
5:00pm – 6:30pm
Chili competition between Harvest Moon Brewery, Makeda’s Ethiopian Restaurant, Hansel ‘N Griddle, and the Glass Woods Tavern from the Hyatt Regency Hotel. Donate $1 and receive a tasting kit and ballot to vote for your favorite chili. All proceeds support Elijah’s Promise.

Contact fstephens@newbrunswick.com or check out www.newbrunswick.com for the list of clues, starting on Wednesday, December 2nd. An image of each answer to each clue has to be submitted at 6pm on Dec. 4, 2009 at the registration table at the Tree Lighting Event. Images can be taken on a cell phone, or a regular digital camera, just as long as all images can be viewed immediately by judges. The 3 people with the most correct answers to the clues will be announced at the Tree Lighting and will receive a prize (prizes to be determined).
