Jewish Sephardic Songs in Ladino
Leaving Spain in the 15th century the Jews brought to the Balkans a part of Spanish culture and specific poetry and songs. These songs have the specific qualities of romances, and are called “romancero”. The music of Sepharadic Songs in Ladino has the charm of the Spanish romance, but is also influenced by Oriental and Balkan rhythms, which make it unique.
